The Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India has initiated a Leadership for Academicians Programme (LEAP) for senior academics to equip them to assume higher positions in academic administration. The key ingredient of the training is to expose the participants to global best practices in academic institution management and administration through a three-week intensive training programme, one of which would be in a foreign university, which is ranked in the top 100 of the standard global rankings. The University of Delhi is one of the institutions identified by the MHRD to offer LEAP programme, which will be organized under the Delhi School of Public Policy and Governance (DSPP&G). The University plans to organize the DULEAP 2020 programme in the month of March 2020 in collaboration with Cambridge, UK (tentatively March 8-19 in India and March 22-29 in UK).
The eligibility criteria for Professors to apply for the programme are:
a) At least 8 years of experience in the grade of Professor
b) Three years of administrative experience
c) Less than 58-years in age, and
d) More than 30 research publications in Scopus-indexed/UGC recognized journals.
